At cirQles, we are very concerned by your privacy.
We therefore not only wish to comply with privacy law, but also to ensure that your privacy is respected and that we offer you the right Features to control it.
When registering as a Member, we need you to fill in an information form. Some of the information required are mandatory and are identified as such by an asterisk. All the mandatory information are required in order to have access to cirQles.
To ensure that you actually are the person you claim to be, we then call you to verify that the phone number you gave us is real and accurate.
Here are some examples why we have to collect some information about you when you create your Member Account:
Address: we collect your address because cirQles is a social network that aims at creating a bound among neighbors. Without your address we couldn't identify your neighborhood and cirQles would be meaningless.
Phone number: we collect your phone number to call you in order to verify that you are the person you claim to be.
Date of birth: we collect your date of birth in order to ensure that you actually are an adult.
Email: we collect your email to send you notifications, information, and news about cirQles and your Member account. Or to send you your password back when you have lost it.
You may, at any time, request us to provide you access to the personal information that has been collected by us about you. We will respond to your request, free of charge, within 30 days upon receipt.
We may only deny you this access when there is a serious and legitimate reason for doing so or unless the information is of a nature that may seriously prejudice a third person.
In order to exercise your right to access your personal information, please send an email to: support@cirqles.ca. Please join a copy of you personal identity card so as we can verify your identity.
You can request us to rectify any personal data about you at anytime which is inaccurate, incomplete or equivocal. You may also cause obsolete information or information not justified by the purpose of the file to be deleted, or insert your written comments in the file.

Always keep attention to the people you share your information and content with as some of it might be very intimate or might even put you at risk under some circumstances.
At cirQles, we grant you total control over the information and content that you share with people. We strongly encourage you to use the tools that are at your disposal to do so.
Your data will be stored in Canada.
We will keep your personal data and the Content Posted by you on cirQles for as long as you remain a Member and keep it for as long as the legal prescription has not expired.
The cirQles web page is hosted on cloud servers which are located in a secure server farm. The company that manages these servers has one of the best reputations in the industry for managing dedicated servers and cloud hosting. We do not share your personal information with any other system or with any third party.
